My story

I’d like to introduce myself

I’m Christina, affectionately known as Chrissie. Founder of ‘House of Pinoy’.

Established in the summer of 2025, I’m a proud half-Filipina. I was born and bred in Newbury, West Berkshire. Pastry chef by trade for 20 years, classically trained in French Patisserie. Working locally in London, Scotland, and abroad. With a fire in my stomach, when I first opened my first set of pastry knives my mother bought me. I knew my purpose in life.

Inspired by my culture & of the loving, strong people that have raised me. Often craving for Filipino nostalgic sweets, travelling into the cities to get my fix. A home bakery was born, combining a true love for the most refined cuisine in the world, French, with a unique artistic flair and flavours I grew up with. I present to you my Filipino heritage through fusion patisserie. Whilst dedicating time & proceedings to supporting charities.

I love to educate people about my heritage through food. I feel it’s my duty to inspire the next generation to be creative with food and to give people a true taste of my culture home made from my hometown, Newbury, West Berkshire.

Fresh, made to order, by me

I bake everything myself, by hand, to order, in one of two ways depending on whether what you want.

Online store orders

Posted anywhere in the UK, or delivered free within 10 miles of Newbury.

  1. Choose your favouritesPolvoron, financiers and gift vouchers are the bakes that travel well, so they are the ones you can buy there and then.
  2. Add to your basketPick your flavours and quantities from separate gluten free and standard products.
  3. CheckoutPay securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, then choose Royal Mail Tracked 48 or free local delivery within 10 miles of Newbury.
  4. It arrivesI bake your order fresh, then post it or bring it to you myself.

Enquiries

Delivered free within 10 miles of Newbury, or collected in person. Too delicate to post.

  1. Choose what you would likeThe Ube Entremet, celebration cakes and Filipino afternoon tea are arranged with me directly, because the price and date depend on what you need.
  2. Fill in the formTell me what you would like, how many people it is for and the date you need it.
  3. I come back to youYour enquiry reaches me by email and I reply personally with what is possible and the price.
  4. Enjoy it on the dayOnce the date is agreed you pay to secure it, and I bake it fresh for that day.

I bake and deliver Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, everything made to order in my own kitchen, so please allow a little notice.
